The World University of Design has introduced some new courses in the new academic year 2021. The university has started these courses keeping in view the demand of the present time as well as increasing the capacity of students for future needs. Under this, new courses have been launched in the fields of management, architecture, design and performing arts.
Management (BBA – 3 years, MBA – 2 years)
- Design Strategy and Innovation Through this course, students will be able to practice the design strategy for its execution. In addition to the studio space for head-down work, students will also get the opportunity to learn model-making, rapid prototyping and multimedia technology.
- Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Design Thinking (DA.AI.DT) – Given the use of advanced technology in the field of business in the coming times, this course will help students to specialize in data science, artificial intelligence and machine learning. Apart from this, this course will also help students to take powerful decisions using emerging technology and design thinking.
- Service Design- This course has been started to cater to the needs of service sectors like Health, Finance, IT, Travel, Retail, Education and even Oil and Gas. This program will be helpful for students to create new consumer service in retail, banking etc. It will also motivate them to tackle in the field of transport, health and education as well as technical, environmental and social challenges.
Architecture (M.Arch – 2 years)
- Sustainable Architecture – The objective of this two-year master course is to develop a special skill set for students towards sustainability through green building. This course will help prepare students for GRIHA and LEED certification.
Digital architecture
In the current era, digital technology has become an essential part of our life, due to which the archivator has also made his place in daily life. This course will cover various digital software tools and its design processes (parametric and generic), architectural visualization, advanced construction, and building automation, including AR / VR and architecture, parametric software skill sets, digital fabrication and material research, digital design, Robotic interfaces and interactive architecture design tools, artificial intelligence, etc. will be integrated.
Design (BDes – 4 years, MDes – 2 years)
Computer Science and Design – This course is designed to tailor the student to arts, entertainment, sports, mobile application development, multimedia, product / web design, cyber security, digital analytics and other interactive areas. It will focus on user experience, interaction design and design methods across all IT products and services.
User Experience and Interaction Design
This course focuses on computer technology and the problems faced by computer users at the global level. Under this, students will be taught the necessary methodology to solve these problems. This course will cover topics like UX for technology, smart city, data visualization and more.
Performing Arts (BPA / Integrate MPA / MPA – Music / Dance / Theater)
The syllabus added to the performing arts is not just to gain expertise, but to achieve specialization in various fields based on performance management, production, promotion and presentation. Through this course, students will get to learn a lot for the corporate and developmental world as well as prepare them for a career in the entertainment industry.
