Warner Bros shutting down CNN+ streaming service – Variety
Warner Bros Discovery is closing down its CNN+ streaming news service, Range reported on Thursday, pointing out two individuals familiar with the matter.
The media company is anticipated to offer details to staff members on Thursday, the report said.
Warner Bros Discovery, whose shares fell 5.6% on the news, did not immediately respond to a Reuters ask for comment.
CNN introduced CNN+ late last month in a bid to take advantage of the increasing popularity of streaming video and growth of digital memberships at major news organizations.
The streaming service offers a mix of live, on-demand and interactive shows, with a focus on initial content.
