The registration process for the National Testing Agency (NTA) UGC NET exam will end today. In this case, the candidates who have not yet applied, can apply before the completion of the process. Candidates can apply through the official website of NTA ugcnet.nta.nic.in till 9 March i.e. today. A few days ago the agency issued a notification stating that the application date for UGC NET has been extended to 9 March. Earlier, the last date was fixed as 2 March. Along with this, the age limit for NTA JRF was increased to 31 years.
The notification has been released
The NTA said in the notification that the decision to extend the last date was taken after a request from the candidates regarding extension of the last date of UGC NET exam. At the same time, the maximum age limit for JRF examination has been increased to 31 years this year. According to the notice issued by the NTA, this relaxation of 1 year in the age limit has been given only for the current examination. For the subsequent UGC NET JRF 2021 exam, the maximum age limit will be 30 years only.
Examination will be held from May 2
This year, UGC NET will be held on May 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 14, and 17, 2021 at various examination centers set up in major cities of the country. The examination will be conducted in two shifts of three hours each. The first shift will be conducted from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, while the second shift will be from 2:30 pm to 5.00 pm.
