Between the Corona era, the government has decided to make a big change in school education. Under this, now after 15 years, NCERT is going to prepare the entire syllabus with new syllabus. The Ministry of Human Resource Development has said that the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) for school education is being changed after 15 years. In this case, an interim report will be given by December 2020. Whereas, the new syllabus is likely to be ready by March next year. In this regard, the Minister of Human Resource Development tweeted that the work of preparing a new curriculum for schooling has started.
There will be no change in anything other than facts
Along with this, the Ministry has instructed the National Council for Educational and Training (NCERT) that while making changes in the textbooks, it should be kept in mind that apart from the facts there is no change in it. The Ministry has also said that there is a lot of book knowledge in the text books. In this case, additional things like creative thinking, life skills, Indian culture, arts etc. should be included in them. The NCERT books have changed only five times before, in 1975, 1988, 2000 and 2005.
There will be change in all books from 1st to 12th
According to the new syllabus, changes will be made in all books from 1st to 12th. The ministry has also asked NCERT to prepare supplementary course material for students who do not have internet facility. The NCERT should prepare such course materials for the first to the fifth class by December 2020 and from the sixth to the 12th by June 2021 in a phased manner. With the change in syllabus, books will be completely changed in the new academic session. Now, apart from creativity in books, other information including the culture of India will also be available.
The new National Curriculum Framework (NCF) for School Education has also been initiated. NCERT will be expected to make changes in the textbooks in accordance with the new NCF.
