Authorities: 3 found shot to death in Indianapolis home
INDIANAPOLIS: Three individuals were found shot to death Friday inside an Indianapolis apartment, police said.
Cops officers discovered the 3 grownups dead after being called to the Oaks of Eagle Creek apartment building on the city’s northwest side about a reported shooting, stated Officer Samone Burris with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Cops Department.
She said there was no danger to the public and cops were not trying to find a suspect.
Detectives believe the shooting was a murder-suicide, authorities stated in a press release.
Homicide investigators were on the scene speaking with witnesses and gathering proof, Burris said.
“Conflict resolution can not be resolved with gun violence,” she said. “People lose their lives. Neighborhoods are shaken, they are broken since we continue to respond to violence for violence which is not acceptable in our community.”
Chelsea Laureano, who lives in the structure throughout from where the shooting occurred, told The Indianapolis Star that she was unloading groceries when she heard individuals screaming and a lady screaming to call the authorities.
