CBSE has decided to cancel the remaining papers of 10th and 12th. The papers of 29 subjects of both these classes were to be held between 1 to 15 July. The assessment of the 12th students will now be based on their previous 3 exams. However, they will be able to give the remaining paper later also.

During the 12th, many students also prepare for the competitive and entrance exam. In such a situation, what will be the impact of the paper cancellation on the preparation of these students? To know this, Dainik Bhaskar has talked to some experts who are preparing for various exams. Know the opinion of these experts, what will be the impact of this decision of CBSE on the preparation of examinations and how long the examinations are expected to take place.

  • JEE: MCHD will have to change the rules

JEE Expert Vikas Loya says: There is some minimum percentage criterion in 12th standard for JEE examination. It is expected that MHRD will exempt this criterion this year. Because in the internal assessment it is difficult to assess which student will be able to complete that criterion.

My assessment is that even though the JEE exam will be late, it will definitely happen. Even though social distancing is taken care of, the examination dates should be announced. Because as time is passing and exam dates are not coming, children’s confidence is declining.

  • NEET: Many challenges at the policy level with confidence of children

According to neet expert Amit Gupta, who studies students seriously. They wanted all the 12th papers. In such a situation, if they are also preparing for NEET, then they are afraid of falling more confidence. Apart from this, there are many challenges at the policy level as well. The Medical Council of India has a guideline that to pass NEET, it is necessary to pass in the biology paper. In such a situation, the question is that students whose biology subject paper has been missed, will they be able to give NEET? This situation should be clear at the government level. The examination is scheduled on July 24 as per schedule. But, looking at the current circumstances, it does not seem that it can be done in one go. If you have to conduct NEET exam quickly, then it has to be divided into shifts.

  • CLAT: Law students will benefit

According to Clat expert Harsh Gagrani, students going to take admission in law can take advantage of the remaining paper cancellation of CBSE. Because most of the syllabus of CLAT exam is not in 12th syllabus. In such a situation, students going to give clats will get extra time for preparation. If the board does not take this decision. So these students had to give another month for the 12th exams.

  • SSC: Can take advantage of this time, but only 5-6% students are doing so

SSC exam expert Vikas Kumar Meghal says that CHSL 12th level examination of SSC is to be held in August. But, according to the circumstances, there is little chance that the test will be done. There is only a 12th level CPO exam, which is to be held in September. This decision will only benefit from SSC exam. However, most students do not appear to be taking advantage of this. Online classes are attended by 5-6% of the students. Children who are waiting for the coaching institute to open. They are not going to gain much. But, those who used the time in preparation for the exam, they will be able to take advantage of it.

Year’s hard work is wasted, hard to get back to flow

IAS exam expert Lakshmi Sharan Mishra says: The student can read the subject, but not only for the exam. Class 10th and 12th syllabus studies are also useful in competitive exam. In such a situation, the decision to cancel the remaining paper has broken the reading rhythm of the student. The danger ahead is that students will leave the rhythm of studies and get entangled in the dates of competitive exam. Looking at the circumstances, it seems that the competitive exam will not be held before August. At present, most students have two questions.

Two questions of preparing children

Will you get extra time for competitive exam?

The benefit of having the remaining paper canceled could be that extra time will be available for the preparation of competitive exam. But, the coaching institutes are closed. In competitive terms, offline coaching is more effective. Online education can be done for college and school. But, it is not that effective for the competitor.

What to do after the exam is canceled?

If the flow of your studies is broken and you feel that you will not be able to do the exam again to improve marks. So it would be better to work on a skill. Universities like Harvard are also offering free online courses. The next three months are the best time to take advantage of such opportunities.
