Candidates waiting for admission outside Jaipur examination center
- Called one hour before the exam, candidates had to wait at the examination center
The Spokesman (Technical Education Department) Competitive Examination 2020, launched by Rajasthan Public Service Commission, recorded 31% attendance on the first day. For this examination, 19926 candidates had applied from all over the state, out of which only 6359 candidates had appeared in the Common Paper while 13567 candidates were absent.
Spokesman Technical Education Department examinations will run till 19 March. The first day compulsory paper general studies examination took place. This paper was compulsory for all the candidates. For this paper, the Commission set a time of 2 hours. Elective subjects papers will start from tomorrow. This paper will be of 3 hours and there will be papers in two shifts per day.
On behalf of the Commission, this examination is being conducted at 78 examination centers in Ajmer and Jaipur. For 39 posts, this examination is being done at 24 examination centers in Ajmer and 54 in Jaipur. Question papers of elective subjects will be held from 13 and 15 to 19 March 2021 from 9 am to 12 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm.
Troubled candidates, stand in queue
Candidates appearing in the examination were instructed to arrive at the center one hour before the commencement of the examination. In the cradle of this instruction, the candidates reached the centers from 8:30 am but they were given entry after 9:20 and 9:25 at the centers. For so long, the candidates and their families were seen standing in queues outside the centers. A common paper of general knowledge was organized on the first day on Friday. Examination centers in Jaipur were allotted to the candidates of Ajmer by the Commission. Parents who have arrived in Jaipur have complained that the Commission gave the examination center several kilometers from the city to many interior areas. The candidates had to face a lot of trouble in reaching this place. Many candidates had reached the examination centers at 8:30 am. The paper was scheduled to start at 10 o’clock. Candidates were to enter the centers from 9 am onwards, but in the Shivpur Road, Government Higher Secondary School, Sanganer, candidates started to enter from 9:25 am. During this time, the candidates were seen standing outside on the road waiting for the center to open. Similar information is being received from some more education centers.
