The situation of postponement and cancellation of examinations is going on continuously in the country due to Corona. Meanwhile, the Central Teacher Eligibility Test, to be held on July 5, has also been postponed until further orders.
In this tweet, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said that “In view of the present circumstances, it has been decided to postpone the #CTET examination to be conducted by #CBSE on July 5, 2020. The next date of examination will be announced if conditions are favorable. ”
CBSE remaining examinations canceled
Earlier, CBSE has also decided to cancel the remaining papers of 10th and 12th due to increasing cases of corona. The papers of 29 subjects of both these classes were to be held between 1 to 15 July. In the Supreme Court hearing on Thursday, on behalf of the board, the government said that now the assessment of the 12th students will be based on their last 3 exams. They will be able to give the remaining papers later also. However, the students of 12th will also be able to choose to give the exam later so that they can improve their results and result from internal assessment.
CISCE also canceled examination
At the same time, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) has also decided to cancel the 10th-12th examinations to be held in July. The examinations were to be held from July 1, which has also been canceled by the board. In this regard, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told the Supreme Court that the ICSE Board has also decided to cancel the examinations of the 10th and 12th board, but it does not want to give students the option of giving papers later.
