- CAT Exam Admit Card Will Be Issued On October 27, Exam Is On November 28, 64 To 68 Questions To Be Solved In 120 Minutes

Due to Kovid, for the second consecutive year, the Common Admission Test will be of two hours. This year also the exam will be conducted on the same lines as last year. Meaning, there will be no paper on pre-covid pattern. CAT form filling is over and admit cards will be issued on October 27. IIM Ahmedabad will conduct the exam on 28th November. Last year a total of 76 questions were asked. This year it is expected that 64 to 68 questions can be asked in CAT. The questions will be asked in three parts.
Questions will come from Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, Reading, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning. Students will be given 40-40 minutes to solve each section. Persons with Disabilities will get additional time of 13 minutes 20 seconds to solve the questions. 20 to 24 questions will be asked from each section. The paper will have both multiple choice and non multiple choice questions. There will be a provision of negative marking in MCQs and there will be no negative marking in non-MCQs.
CAT percentile score alone will not be enough for admission
CAT percentile score is not the only thing that matters for admission in IIMs. Personal Interview, Group Discussion and Written Ability Test conducted by different IIMs at their respective levels are also important.
Ahmedabad, Calcutta First Choice in Generation One IIMs
IIMs are divided according to their category. The IIMs coming in the first generation are 462 in Calcutta, 385 in Ahmedabad, 565 in Bengaluru, 419 in Lucknow, 525 in Kozhikode and 600 seats in Indore in all programs. Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Calcutta are among the top priority in terms of choice of students.

CAT is just over a month away. Students give as many mock tests as possible and analyze them. Strengthen the one who is weak in all the three sections. Now is the time for practice and analysis. Students can still work hard and score well.
